Place and Landscape at the Waterfront Gallery, Ipswich is the last of three exhibitions that introduce the East Contemporary Art Collection. It looks at the importance of place and landscape as an inspiration for contemporary artists in the eastern region.
Simon Carter, co-founder of the collection says, “East Anglia has provided space and sanctuary for creatives of all kind, being close enough to allow access to London but on its own gloriously undisturbed route to nowhere. I know I am not the only one that feels unreasonably deeply rooted to this landscape.”
The exhibition features work by 32 artists including ‘Evening Sail’ by Amanda Ansell and continues until 13th November 2014.
